About Our Site

YourDrivingLicence was formed to offer a unique reference point on how to get your driving licence and keep it!.

YourDrivingLicence contains a wealth of information about getting and keeping a clean driving licence - and what happens if you don't. The Learning To Drive category offers advice on choosing a driving instructor, getting insurance for a learner's car and arranging an MOT test for your vehicle.

The Taking A Test category discusses various aspects of both the practical driving test and the theory and hazard perception tests that you need to pass before getting your first driving licence. Once you have successfully got your driving licence, the Insurance category offers practical advice on taking out the right insurance for your vehicle, making insurance claims and driving someone else's vehicle.

In the Driver Legislation category, you will find information on the legal side of things, including the rules on using a mobile while driving, taking responsibility for your passengers and the New Drivers Act.

The Motor Offences category is a must-read section of the website as it lets you know exactly what will await you if you are convicted of a driving offence such as reckless driving, drink driving, driving while disqualified and speeding. The Your Licence category details what happens if you receive point endorsements on your driving licence as a result of driving offence convictions, along with medical requirements for driving and getting your driving licence back after disqualification.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.
